MESSAGE FROM THE RABBI

Good & Welfare

Community Helper Volunteers:
Do you know anyone in the CSI community who would benefit from an occasional telephone call, transportation to/from synagogue for a class, service or program???  Perhaps someone who is homebound and would enjoy some company???  If you know anyone, or if it's you, please let me know so that our committee can help.  Don't be afraid to ask!!!

Helpers - Thank you to our (8!) Nanuet "Chesed Helpers" - a group that rotates weekly to provide a Shabbat (or other dinner) to a member on a weekly basis.  Thank you for your continued efforts.  Your care and attention are much appreciated!

Barrier Free CSI:     If you would be interest in trying a unit for hearing assistance during a Saturday morning service...help IS available!!!   CSI owns a system to aid the hearing impaired.  Please contact the CSI office if you are interested in learning about same, or locate one of the ushers on Shabbat.  They should be able to assist you.     Large print Siddurim are available for congregants upon request.  Just ask the usher.     As you know, a wheelchair is available for use in the building and access to the building though the kitchen could be arranged in advance if needed.

Simchas & Sorrows
:
Please notify the office as soon as possible in the event of births, engagements, weddings, illness, or a death in your family or members of our "synagogue family".  We count on you to keep us informed of these events so appropriate actions may begin.  Please notify the office by 2 hours before candle lighting on Friday (for Shabbat).  Remember the answering machine s always on when the office is closed.    Special thanks to the congregants who keep Helaine and me informed of important congregational news, you are the link to communication in our community!!!
