MESSAGE FROM THE RABBI
Membership Information
Memberships
Family Membership:
Unmarried children until their 23rd birthday are
included in Family Membership.
Associate Membership:
A married couple, both of who are under age 35 with no
children of school age (1st grade and up) may apply for
Associate Membership if they wish. Associate Membership
maybe held for a maximum of three years. It also
terminated when either spouse reaches age 35, or the
oldest child reaches 1st grade age.
Single Membership
Single Parent
Membership: Unmarried children
until their 23rd birthday are included in Single Parent
Membership.
Senior Citizen
Membership: For congregants age 65
and over. For couples, at least one spouse must be 65
years of age or over.
DUES
Membership dues may be paid quarterly without interest.
Family Membership:
$1500 (subject to change at the annual Congregation
Meeting) (July 1st to July 30th). Call the CSI office
for current new member incentives.
Associate Membership,
Single Membership, Single Parent Membership, and Senior
Citizen Membership: $750 per year
(subject to change at the annual Congregation Meeting)
(July 1st to July 30th). Call the CSI office for current
new member incentives.
BUILDING FUND
The Building Fund is an obligation for Family
Membership, Single Membership, and Single Parent
Membership. It does not apply to Senior Citizen
Membership. For Associate Membership, the Building Fund
may be deferred until first spouse reach 35 years of
age.
Building Fund:
$1,300. The member is obligated for the entire amount of
the Building Fund at the time membership is accepted,
but may be payable at $260 per year over five years.
Payment in full is still require should the member leave
the synagogue for any reason. In addition, all building
fund payments must be completed by the Bar/Bat Mitzvah
date of the first child to be a Bar/Bat Mitzvah in our
synagogue.
Credit for Building Fund paid to another synagogue may
be requested. Upon written confirmation from the
synagogue to which the Building Fund was paid, credit of
up to $590 may be given. There is always a minimum
obligation of $710 Building Fund. If you wish credit, it
is your responsibility to request that a letter be sent
to use from your previous synagogue stating the exact
amount you have paid to their Building Fund.
NON-MEMBER HEBREW SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Children of non-members may attend Hebrew School for one
year--in first or second grade. If your child is
returning for a second year in our school or will be in
3rd-7th grade, you must apply for membership and pay
full membership dues and building fund. |
