February 2nd - 6:30pm Amos: Text, Context, and Meaning with Zachary Bernstein-Rothberg
The prophet Amos speaks with urgency and moral clarity about justice, responsibility, and the spiritual dangers of complacency—messages that still resonate today. Over the course of five sessions, we’ll engage in a close reading of the entire book of Amos, explore his historical context, and wrestle with his challenging calls for ethical living and communal accountability. I fell in love with how Amos is very much of his own time but also resonant across history, and I hope you will enjoy hearing his call with me. This is a weekly class. Registration is required.
