Eykha - How?-learning with Judith Rose

The Megillah of Lamentations, written inresponse to the devastation of Jerusalem and the destruction of the HolyTemple, is traditionally read on Tisha B'Av. It resounds, over and overagain with the probing question: "Eykha?” “How?"

This Tisha B'Av, we will follow the poignantjourney of this word, from the Book of Genesis, through the Prophets, until itfinds its way into a stirring Midrash written as a companion text to theMegillah. This final text illuminates the state of national trauma through aquiet examination of the poignant perils on the home front.

Together,we will search for meaning, relevance, and healing in the face of the nationaland personal tragedies faced by the Jewish nation then and now.
